Dry skin can occur due to various reasons such as vitamin deficiency, change in climatic conditions and chemical soaps or face wash. Dry skin can also be caused due to genetic inheritance and has no permanent cure. Hence there are wide range of creams and lotions that are available in the market to mask the effects of dry skin. Proper usage of the products can make the skin look healthy and glowing. The most common problem is that there may be a barrier that prevents the normal secretion of natural oils in the skin.
People who have a dry skin genetically need to use oil based creams and lotions frequently to handle this problem. Genetics can play a vital role in controlling the level of moisture present in the skin. It varies from person to person depending on the genetic factor. Though there is no permanent cure for dry skin due to genetic reason there are number temporary measures and methods available to handle dry skin problems.
